IT IS CLINICALLY PROVEN BE SAFE TO RECEIVE MASSAGE FROM A TRAINED THERAPIST

Massage for patients affected by cancer should only be performed by a massage therapist trained in oncology massage and when the care team considers it safe. These therapists have furthered their educated to become knowledgeable in the complications that can arise from cancer treatments. Therefore, oncology massage therapists are able to adapt massage sessions accordingly during active treatment, chemotherapy, radiation, pre/post surgery, recovery and survivorship.

This is the most common treatment length for a session focused on a particular area or desired outcome. These typically do NOT include any detailed lymphatic methods.

This treatment time is for those who feel they desire more of one specific modality, but do not want to sacrifice the full-body relaxation portion. Each massage will focused on specific outcomes along with leaving available time to address current concerns. There are no two massages alike, even for returning clients.

These treatment sessions typically includes varying degrees of lymphatic methods targeting a specific area. While cancer treatments take place, the body may require additional encouragement with the lymphatic system to maintain proper flow. There will be multiple modalities utilized for optimal possible healing for the patient.
